The PGDE programme shall become operable subject to full compliance with stipulated regulations. The admission requirements for the programme are presented below:

1. A candidate who holds a first degree (or above) in a relevant teaching subject from an NUC accredited university in Nigeria or a recognized overseas university.
2. A candidate who possesses an HND (not below lower credit pass) in one of the teaching subjects at credit level.
3. A candidate shall apply for admission through the Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education Kumbotso, Kano and be certified by Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria.
4. A candidate shall be subjected to entrance examination by the Department of curriculum studies
5. The programme shall operate on Part-Time basis.
6. Admission is offered only to candidates who can satisfy the requirements of PGDE programme.
7. The duration for the programme is one academic session which comprises two semesters. In the event of failure (or other justifiable reasons to cause extension), the candidate shall request for an additional session of two semesters to remedy such problems from SARCO-CONSULT. At the end of the second session, the studentship shall be deemed to have lapsed if the student could not complete his programme successfully.
